1:1 Teaching
While I have many years of experience in practice, learning, and teaching, this is the first time I’m offering 1:1 teaching as an ongoing and facet of my art practice. We can meet in your home or studio, or at the Working Image space listed on this website. I have a set hourly rate for my time which can be discussed at time of inquiry, and in some cases I am open to equipment, art supplies, and skill trades.
Still and Motion Image:
Do you have a 16mm, Double 8mm, or Super8 camera you’ve been wanting to learn how to film with? Or maybe you just want to see if celluloid filmmaking is for you before you invest in your own camera? Do you have an analog Point and Shoot/SLR/TLR/Toy film camera, etc. that has been the next step in your creative practice, but need some guidance?
I have been actively working with cameras for the majority of life, from fun savers and polaroids to sound sync 16mm cameras. I am an active teaching artist with the rare trifecta of an AFA, BFA, and MFA. I’m currently, Fall 2026, teaching 16mm analog filmmaking at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Art and making my own films. My photography has been featured at The Institute of Photography, Falmouth University in Cornwall, UK, and my films have been selected for NYC Film Diary (2026), Motivate Film Festival (2026), and moving image art has been installed at Visual Studies Workshop, as well as the Chicago Cultural Center with the art Collective, Yah Yah.
